Veterans Network salutes the Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund as a leader in the support of the men and women of the armed forces and their famillies. Since 2000, under the auspices of the Intrepid Museum Foundation, the Fund has provided over $65 million in support for the families of the military personnel lost in service to our nation, and for the severly wounded military personnel and veterans.
In 2007, the Fund completed construction of a $45 million state-of-the-art physical rehabilitation center at Brooke Army Medical Hospital in San Antonio, Texas. The center is co-located with two 21-room Fisher Houses that lodge the families of the patients.
The Fund's current project, the National Intrepid Center of Excellence, will be an advanced facility dedicated to research, diagnosis and treatment of military personnel and veterans suffering from TBI and psychological health issues. The center will be located on the Navy campus at Bethesda, Md., adjacent to the Walter Reed Military Medical Center.

The Fund has also worked with the firm of Davis Polk & Wardell to create two very important handbooks for the INJURED SERVICE MEMBERS AND THEIR FAMILIES, and also the HANDBOOK FOR THE FAMILIES OF DECEASED MILITARY PERSONNEL. The chapters for this valuable information and resources can be accessed using the links below:
